Maiden voyage!!! Sorry for the crappy picture.
Partly cloudy forecast tuned out to be a beautiful day. Final till and planted 20 russets, 30 garlic, and 20 white onions.
Besides the cabbage, the rest of the plants are coming up...
Pops went a little farther.
New blades, sanded, painted, new gauge wheels.
Belt guard is only off temporarily so he can make sure all is good.
So you like round fenders and 400’s. Do you have any? I’m a bit of a round fender junky:good:
Tmac, brand of spray type?
Well I put 2 hours on the tractor today. It is so strong! Grass isn’t as thick as it will be come late May/ early June, but it had no problems in the thicker patches. Points stayed right where they...
On my 112 (mowing tractor with decent variator) I remove the belts from the Variator, wash sheave with brake cleaner and then wet with brake cleaner to help the dry graphite I use stick. Typically...
Well I had another snag with this engine. I lost the points push rod while rebuilding the engine, so I picked up a briggs type at the hardware store to try. Well that was a no go. Apparently it...
What tractor has the ability to raise the deck high enough to have clearance to till?! Plus who tills that often?
:welcome: Nice machine you got there!
Just an FYI, the use of white lithium is ok, except if using for mowing. The grease will cause dust to stick, causing the Variator to stick. I use a drop or two of motor oil on the Variator on my...
I have Deestone’s on both my roundfenders. My 110 I bought the 23x10.50 since they do run a size narrower. They are the same height wise as the original tires though.
Pops is motoring along on this. Rebuild the spindles yesterday, freed up the jacksheave pivot, and replaced the deck belt yesterday.
What was the problem with the generic cables? That’s what I’ve used in my ‘66 11 and ‘67 112.
Thankfully our local JD dealer bought out by a much friendlier dealer. They don’t stock them, it said they’d be in by Friday. No worries about that. We noticed that the jacksheave doesn’t pivot...
I am on the Predator/Gator blade bandwagon. They do a great job creating finer clippings and I feel they use less power (less fuel) to run. They work for mulching and discharging.
He needs to order new blades. Both worn pretty good, and one is bent.
He’s pretty anxious to try it out....and the grass is getting an attitude:lol:
I agree. I think the 60 and 70 look the best, not too much of a fan of the 100 as it shares the same hood styling as the 108-116, but my 111 is a work horse as long as I keep intermediate belts on...
Wheels painted and a little rubbing on the green.
:welcome: Ryan. Nice rig you got there! And welcome to the green side:thumb:
Not a 200 series, but same drive style. I love my 112 RF for mowing. I love the Variator for its abilities and simplicity. However with having some low hanging trees, I’ve started using my 111 and...
