So added more weight to ass end and I was able to get around but yesterday I must have broke a shear pin in gearbox? PTO turns drive shaft but auger and fan do not spin when engaged. Woke up this morning to clear driveway and was greeted by 11 more inches of snow after the night before's 8 inches.
I do snow duties at work lets just say last thing I want to do at home is move it by hand and my driveway is 5 parking positions. So it's decent sized and I left the plow on the back side of garage in the overhang.
Thanks Doug I will go check that out. Yoke is broken. FARK Guess another 300 bills went out the window. Ordered on Amazon it will be here tomorrow. Just didn't need the added financial grief during holiday season
Turn the cheek and smile, I refuse to let life kick me around, i dislike being glum and have been trying to be happier in life. On a better not my part came in and it works just fine.
Greg, did you get the new yoke? Just looked on JDparts, $280.. ouch. Someone once mention you can get an off brand yoke the fits the JD measurements far cheaper. I believe the site was https://www.mcmaster.com/
I got mine discounted because it was on amazon they discounted. the vendor got full price I imagine. I hardly every use my amazon card so that might be the reason.
So Looking for a service manual for this unit for torque specs and ease my brain for giggle's when I break something else. Anybody ever add late model skids to the sides of the freezer box? Seems like a lot of weight concentrated on just the two skid shoes.
Yes some have done that, some have put them on the outside, some have put them on the inside. Usually it was members with gravel/dirt/etc drives. But it has me thinking about it to extend the life of my 47's.
