i've been working on my version of a quick attach loader for the 317.

64" to the pin
60" under a level bucket
44" wide bucket
self leveling with linkage to increase curl and dump angles
will not dump material back on the hood of the tractor
replaceable inner bushings with grease fittings
runs from onboard hydraulics
170 lbs

that's a great idea deereman, i have one of those cutters but never though of using it that way. i thought of drilling some 1/8" holes on the line, but not plasma cutting. those make a real thin cut that is probably easy to weld up after too.
hmm, i guess we can't think of everything, but if i do this again i will use the cutter and bend it myself.

Paul, the bucket looks great!

Did you stay at 44" wide as mentioned at the start? 52 lbs is not bad at all!

My 40" bucket started off as a manure bucket from something like an old Ford 8N, and even after I cut it down to it's current size and welded on a new bottom, it comes it at 92-94 lbs on the bathroom scale!

I won't bend it, bit I know it subtracts from how much I can lift!

Beautiful...
Maybe make up a back brace like the blade on 185/180/etc (# is in signature) used? These 300 series have more than enough power to tear themselves up...
