    Mower options

Well, this should open up a whole bag of worms.... say you had 3-4 grand to buy a mower. Just a mower, no need for ground engaging stuff just mowing. You mow around 2 acres of flatish yard, trees, fence, etc to mow around. What do you buy? Does not necessarily have to be green.....

Ah, yes it does have to be green!

Jokes aside, do you want a fairway quality cut or just to keep the grass under control?

I like a nice cut, but my grass is no where near fairway perfect. I would lean more to a nicer cut though.

Hustler or Deere zero turn. JMO. Good luck on choosing. Local dealer can make a big difference.
More John Deere stuff than my wife likes. From mowers to tractors and even a crawler.

For 3 or 4 grand, look at the Hustler line - their residential mowers are built as good as their commercial ones.

We have bought several used Z930's and a Z950 for right around $4,000 here in PA. They all had under 600Hrs. Try watching on craigslist and also dealer trade ins.

That's crazy! With those hours around here that's a 7,000 + mower. I've been watching craigslist but haven't come across anything good yet.

I am currently considering a AWS 425 with a 54 deck. Very nice tractor with 600 hrs. Same place also has a 737 zero turn as well. But that has 1300 hours and I've never tried a zero turn before. The new cub zt2 seems nice too. I only have a few spots where the 425 might be too big but I do like having the deck out front with my F525. My wife says just make up your mind already haha.
