I would have liked a newer one but I paid $1000 for mine so I'm not complaining.

Nice upgrade...enjoy. Can we expect a username upgrade, too...like the Mowing Dutchman.

For 1000.00 I would have bought it too! You could do the cam upgrade and still be in it for a good price.

Lol, might have to change my user name to that! The mowing dutchman, I like it!

Just bagged my first trophy class Deere a couple of weeks ago.
Got a 1990 318 with the original Onan, and the 50" deck.
Runs just like a Deere; fires right up with the bump of a key.
She's needs a little cosmetic work, and some new spindle bearings, but otherwise she's all complete.
I'll post some pictures, as soon as I figure out how to post them from an Android mobile device.

I know this isn't a Deere but seems like a pretty good GT. A GT20 Ariens I picked up a couple days ago. It has rocker arms front and back and 3 shaft drive PTO's front/mid/back. Kohler magnum H20 and some? model Sundstrand. It came with just a 48" deck. The drawbars and top link are missing. The PO works at a local small engine shop which makes me suspect as it doesn't currently run. So far I concerned that the steering wheel spins freely without engaging the wheels(has power steering). It isn't a Deere but have heard from some that it is a pretty good unit with a similar(3250 rpms) PTO issue like the 400. May be a FEL candidate If I can get it going without too much expenditure. Anybody here have experienceDSCN3557.jpgDSCN3558.jpgDSCN3561.jpg with these?

No experience with them...but they have a reputation of being tough and capable. The power steering may come back once the engine is running and the hydro pump is working. That's how it is on Deeres with PS anyway. Good luck with it.

Just got home from a long trip with a 140. I'm really excited about it and I'm sure il have plenty of questions as I get into it. Here it is next to my 110. Thanks Shawn Marcus!
