Took the running boards off my “new” 60. Before they go in the scrap bin, they aren’t some ultra rare option, are they? I’m pretty sure they aren’t, but I’ve been wrong once before.

As soon as I get to camp I'll take some pictures of them mounted on the tractor.

Put the 54-inch blade on my 420 today, now that I’ ready maybe it will just keep all the snow away.

Changed the oil, greased everything, adjusted the steering play, adjusted the hydro creep and generally got the 316 ready for snow. I'm thinking of modifying the seat so I can move it back farther. It's so cramped for me to run.

    Mike,

I put the cab doors, windshield, rear window, and foot wells back on the 445 in hopes it would bring back some warmer weather. So far no luck!

Just reading some and saw your old post. Around here the city; as per their code, will step in and keep the property up to code, then bill and if necessary put a lean on it.

Deck off, blade on the 345. Hopefully this works as good insurance against that awful white precip like it did last year.

The weather is changing here...cool mornings, but by noon you are coming out of your morning flannel shirt. Hummingbirds have left, cicadas are quiet, and the fireflies has disappeared.
Had a good morning in the shop with my new-to-me 92 JD 322. Checked all the wire connections up front on the left side of the engine. Pulled the fender pan and right rear wheel and changed both brake rod return springs. Cleaned the foam panel over the hydro tranny...fits up under the front of the gas tank and extends to the pedestal under the fender pan. Put the hood, side panels, battery tray support, battery tray and battery back on the front of the machine. Put the grille back in place. Fired it up and went tooling around the backyard and front yard testing the throttle response since I pulled the top of the carb and did a clean out as best as I could. Still need to pull the carb completely for a good power soak, but that's for later. It throttled up nicely and ran faster than I wanted to go...got to practice with the hydro linkage, so I'm a smoother operator now...it is a little more sensitive that the hydro linkage on the 430. Afterwards I tested some cleaner/wax/polish on two spots on the hood. I think it will clean/shine up nicely after I have a change to wash it and wax the whole machine. Very enjoyable Saturday in the shop.
