electric fuel pump

I currently have an electric fuel pump on my 316 Onan. I installed the pump last year this about this time after reading all of the posts here. Apparently, the pump is too strong for my carb. What would be a safe fuel pressure rating for an electric fuel pump on my 316 with an Onan engine...
