Had two cracks in the steering wheel spokes. Since the part was no longer available from JD and none found on E Bay, I thought I would attempt to repair it. I tried JB Plastic Weld. Took my time cleaning and clamping and reinforced the bottom by drilling thin holes in the bottom of the spokes and screwing in very thin screws. Products sets in one hour. So far, it has held nicely. Repair is hardly visible from above. Regards, John Lewis.

John, I had that work, for a while, before I had to resort to an older model steering wheel. Luckily, I measured the shaft and counted splines to find a match from a jd lawn tractor. While its not exact match, there are no problems with it.
