Ok all you 140 restorers, I am almost done with my 140 restoration and I am about to put the fender pan on. I have one last question before I seal this thing up. There is a scissor spring on the hydro trunnion that the manual calls a cam spring. I am puzzled as to the function of this little doodad and the actual installation. The picture in the book only shows the hooked end looped over the roll pin in the trunnion, but I can't see where the long hooked end goes.
I think it may be there to take the slop out of the hydro linkage and make the control a little tighter.
Any ideas or pictures?
