Edit: forgot to mention the original K321 out of my 140 is on the right in this pic. It's a single drive pulley setup. Can't swap it over to the K301. Crank size is different. The 'Ford Kohler' stub is 1 1/8" vs 1" for the 140 K321. Dammit.

The K301 engine in my 140 right now has a double pulley. The order is reversed though. Smaller one is behind the bigger one on mine. I assume the bigger pulley is behind the small one on your engine because that's where it has to be on a 140 for the deck belt to line up with the drive pulley. I have no idea what the extra pulley on mine is for. That Kohler is out of an LT120 Ford mower. Never saw a 540 PTO adapter on the front of a Ford, nor a Haban mower on one. Doesn't mean none of them had those attachments, just that if they did they must have been a fairly rare option.

So, I acquired another 140, not that I need it. This one has an extra pulley bolted to the front pto clutch. I have read this might be for a Haban mower or maybe a 540 pto attachment. Anyone care to confirm this?

Is the outer pulley an add on? Looks like it bolts to the big pulley. That would be consistent with the Habanish looking white paint that Grant pointed out.

That's my thinking with the extra pulley on the K301. Haven't noodled up any ideas for it yet but there has to be something useful it can do.
At this point I am convinced that it is a Haban pulley, but it could be used for other purposes.
