Has anyone come up with a way to repair the spindle holes on the front axle of a 140 with 1" spindles. There are no bushings in this axle so I can't just replace bushings.

Leonard,

You can have the axle bored and install 1" ID bushings that can be purchased from McMaster Carr.

If I remember correctly, the bushings come in 1/8" increments for the OD sizes .... check out the MCMaster Carr web page for better info !!

The 200 series were 1" and I think they had bushings you could replace. Should be able to use those repair parts on a 140.

I would use the 954 bronze for this application.

I thought the 200 series had only a center pivot bushing at 1" OD and 3/4" ID.

Be sure how much you need to bore the axle before you order the bushings !!!
