I stopped at a machine shop last night to see what it would cost to have them bore and put bushings in my worn front axle spindle holes. The guy said he did not have the equipment to bore a hole that small, but it would be expensive just in set up time. Those of you who have put bushings in your front axle to get back to a 1" bore, how was it done and what did it cost you?

Well I found a machine shop that would bore the spindle holes and install bushings......$300. I need a plan "B"!!

Holy bucket's that's a lot of cash! How big do they need to be bored out to fit the bushing's in?

Loren, not being a machinist, I don't know exactly but I would think 1 1/8" to 1 1/4" total would be plenty to allow them to be bushed back to 1".
