At one time or another the front axle was cracked and re-welded. I had a spare on hand, so I swapped it out. Here's the problem.

-The lower axle bushings are egg shaped on the good axle.
-The bushings are good on the one I removed.

Short of taking the axles to a machine shop to R&R, is there a simple method to do this at home without damaging them?

Has anyone attempted this successfully?

Following Jerry's lead I was able to get the axle & KingPin bushings out very easily and un-damaged.

Thanks again for the tip!

I thought to share a picture of the bushing tool.
It consists of a piece of 1/2" all-thread/nut/washer/socket (bigger than bushing)/washer (slightly smaller diameter than bushing)/nut
