Hey guys, I was just looking through some 140 pics and I had found one that had the 3/4" spindles running the 18x8.50-8 V61's. I am wondering if the front rims are custom built or are they off another machine? Looks cool and may go that way on a future project. Thanks!

I did that. We widened the rims to the outside. Anything else we tried rubbed on the inside.

We cut 2 pairs of rims on a lathe and welded the pairs together to get the correct width. Worked great-no tubes!

Another option may be to put a later 140 axle with 1" Spindles in the earlier tractor. Not sure if it fits or not?

Or even have the 3/4" axle drilled for 1" if there is enough meat.

If I have another 140, without power steering, I will either fabricate a power steering system for it, or install tri-ribs. For extended use, especially use with heavy weight up front, or mowing in heavy going, other tires wore out my arms. So I have tractors with power steering.

But that is just me.

Just a late reply...the later model 140 axle will fit. I did that conversion on my 69 140.
