I have a 68 140 in the 2200 ser. range, the magneto doesn`t work great. I would like to switch to battery ignition, so I cut the plug wire where it comes out of the flywheel, cut the wire that goes from magneto to points, put in a internal resistor coil, change condenser, put a battery ignition switch in and wire from ign. switch to + side of coil and run wire from - side of coil to new condenser and points. Do I have this right?
