So, I picked up a decent 1986 430 recently. I have cleaned up everything and been through the entire thing flushing fluids, flushing lines, changing filters, and greasing everything. I just blasted all wheels, and primed/painted them, and installed new 18" V61 Fronts, and 26" HDAP's on the rear. I installed a Ruegg 3PH, and a bunch of other missing parts. The only thing I have not done is flush the fuel tank out and install new fuel lines and pick ups.

This tractor is sweet and was not abused, only used for mowing, yet it needed a lot of maintenance for me to be happy with it. But now that I have been using it, the right rear seems to be sticking (Dare I say grinding) when I am moving forward. It goes away though. I also notice this when it is in my garage sitting in neutral and I try pushing the tractor around, and the right rear seems locked up and simply will not move when I push by hand.

May this simply be the right rear brakes catching, and way out of adjustment? If so, what do I look for and how do I loose this up? Suggestions?

I would remove the brake drum and inspect. Maybe one of the springs or retainers came loose. There is also a rubber plug on the backing plate that once removed allows access to the brake shoe star adjuster.
Congratulations on the new tractor and good luck,

Tanner, Congratulations on the new tractor and good luck. It sounds like you have a good one.

I agree with Jason, maybe corrosion or buildup of dirt is interfering with the proper operation.
