I have an LT 150 that all the sudden the steering has locked up.
I began by removing the deck,removing the battery and the two linkages that go to the front wheels and the steering wheel will still not spin unless forced.I safely jacked up the front of the tractor and have a good view of the teeth and steering gear,everything looks good ??? any help will be appreciated..

Sorry, it's the Technical Manual for LT133/LT155/LT166 lawn tractors. It was the series right before the LT150/LT160/etc. line. There are a lot of similarities in both series.

Hello,
I am having trouble replacing my points on my 212 because I can not get the lower screw out that is holding the cover on.

Do any of you have any tricks of getting it off?

A long screwdriver, or worst case loosen the motor mounts and jack the engine a bit.

loosen the mounts and wedge the motor bracket up enough to fit screw driver.

IIRC I loosened the front mounts....then replaced the slot head with a socket head so a long allen wrench would fit next time.

Ben, another trick, is once you get the cover off you can cut the bottom of the hole off to make it a slot then all you have to do in the future is just loosen the screw instead of removing it completely.

Also, switch to allen drive screws. Then a long T handle allen fits in quite nicely.

If the screw is really tight and screwdriver is slipping out the slot, put a dab of valve grinding compound on the tip, the carbide bites in and wont let it slip out, old trick!, clean the compound off good afterwards, a
