212 Point's cover removal

I have an LT 150 that all the sudden the steering has locked up.
I began by removing the deck,removing the battery and the two linkages that go to the front wheels and the steering wheel will still not spin unless forced.I safely jacked up the front of the tractor and have a good view of the teeth and steering gear,everything looks good ??? any help will be appreciated..

Hello,
I am having trouble replacing my points on my 212 because I can not get the lower screw out that is holding the cover on.

Do any of you have any tricks of getting it off?

Thanks for the ideas.

I will try them tonight and let you guys know if it works.

Second thing I was wondering would 85w-140 work for the transmission?
