Will a 3 pt. hitch from a model 300 tractor fit the 318?

Nope.

The 300,312,314,316k, and 317 were closed frame nothing on the rear would fit the newer open framed 316,318,322,330,332. The front attachments are the same just not the rear.

Well, guess I won't buy it then. But nice to know the 49 blower I bought will fit my 318 from the 300 tractor....lol

THERE'S A 3 POINT HITCH FOR SALE ON EBAY (REALLY PRICY) MY QUESTION IS WILL A 140 3PH WORK ON THE 317 AND IF NOT WHAT IS THE MODIFICATION THAT MUST BE DONE? DOES ANYONE HAVE A 317 WITH A "140" 3 POINT HITCH ON IT?

Any later style 140 3 point hitch will work on a 300, 312, 314, 316 (kohler), or 317. The later style hitch will have a notch in the right side of the frame like the one in the picture. The notch is the cut out part on the far right side about 1/3 of the way up the picture.
