314 throttle and choke linkage

I'm repairing both of these on my 314. Previous owner had it in a mess. The service manual picture isn't clear enough to tell much about routing and hookup of cables and linkages. Does anyone have a picture that would help? Thanks!

Anyone out there running a 455 with AWS and 60" deck.

My tires will rub the deck. Not sure if this is an adjustment issue or wrong size tire.
I do not think the 60" deck was original, I think the past owner swapped one out.
What size tires do you have? The AWS tractors had smaller tires than other 455s. I believe they came with 23x10.50-12 versus 26x12.00-12s. Roger
Dude,

JD parts shows All Wheel Steer 4X5 models have:

Standard 12 X 8.5 Rim with 23 X 10.5-12 TIRE
Optional 12 X 7 Rim with 23 X 8.5-12 TIRE

There is no information when the optional rims and tires are required? They might be necessary with the 60 inch deck.

Dude,

The rims on my AWS x495 and on my AWS x300 both were different offsets than most other Deere rims -- in part to contain the steerable hub but also to contain the 'sweep' of the tire tread in full lock to lock angle changes relative to the deck, frame, fenders, etc. In addition to the stock tire sizes, do you have the correct rim offsets?

My x495 had a 62 inch deck, and everything cleared as it should...but I don't think the rims can be reversed to "wide" and still work as they should. Here are some side, oblique and rear views to show how shallow the dish is on these rims in the AWS application.

Those are 26x1200-12 tires which are a stock size for this rig, and the stance is acceptably wide even thought the wheel offset is in the 'narrow' position as we think of it for other garden tractors...

I double checked.
Mine is running 23x10.50-12

Is the 26x12-12 a larger or smaller tire?
Dude,

I have the same tire size as you, 23x10.50-12,
and the model and serial number on the mower tag is
M060HDA10667??. The end of the tag is ripped off,
so I don't know the whole number.

Dude,

Sorry for any confusion -- the tires on my X495 AWS are indeed larger than those that were stock on the 455 tractors. My key point was the wheel offset used in these AWS tractors...much different than the 'regular' rims for rear tires on other Deere tractors. Are you convinced that the rims themselves are those that would have been delivered with your AWS 455?

Even my little x304 AWS has rim offsets that are visually much shallower than those used on conventional rear axles...

Mine have a tab so you can't reverse them.

Chuck,You have a 4 Wheel Steer, not an All Wheel Steer.I see they changed the wording.

My center rim is not offset from the side.
It seems to be in the center of the rim.

If I reversed the tire on the tractor, It probably would not change much.
I do not have the rejection lug on my rim either
As some stated earlier, the 26" tire is incorrect for the AWS models. They came with a 23" tire.
That was a typo on my part.
Mine is running 23x10.50-12

Maybe I have the wrong rim?
My center hub is in the center of the rim.
Not offset to the side like in the photos.
It really sounds like you have the wrong rims as they take a rim of their own. They actually require a spacer to run tire chains.
Found some photos online.
I do have the wrong rim but the correct tire.

Looks like I need to find AM113145
Dude - I've got a set in Louisville Ky. ; if you can make that drive . Let me know in a email or here , if you are interested . Not sure which deck was on the tractor they came from , but I'm thinking maybe it was the 54" deck .

Those are going to be hard to find. If I were you, I'd be arranging shipping. For bare wheels it shouldn't be really expensive via Fedex.
The set I have are shod with nice Carlisle turf tires also ; came off a 425 AWS . I'll put them in the for sale section soon . I've shipped similar fed-X ground very reasonably before .
