where do i hook my engine hoist to the block?
i have engine lift/level chains

how/where do i unhook the drive shaft?

i only need to lift enough to remove the starter so maybe 6-7 inches.

Most Onans have L-shaped lifting brackets bolted to the top of the heads. That's what I use.
The driveshaft can be unbolted from the flywheel, or you can leave the driveshaft on the engine and slide it off the hydro splines. It's a little trickier to get it back on that way.

Once everything is disconnected, just roll it over, use a scrap of wood to hold the starter side up and change it.
