Wanted to ask: Looks like my oil drain plug is on the front of the tractor behind the grille (square head), or am I missing something. Could be a mess draining the oil this way. Are these usually valved and piped ?

Usually there is a valve on the side.

So they must be piped. Using Copper with brass valve or Steel pipe ?

in the B series oil filter side there is usually a valve with a square head on it

possible some one took it off at one point too

On the P218G the oil drain is on the right side of the engine. (Looking at it from the seat) There is a hole in the frame below and in front of the oil filter and the drain is through that hole. It is a brass drain but that is where the hole in the oil pan is.
