My machine started acting like it was running out of gas. After seeing the gas was half full, I started pushing on things under the hood thinking something was loose. The wire from the spark plug to the coil seems to be the culprit. When I pushed on the coil end, it ran great. Should I get any resistance from that wire? It was pulling about 7 on the meter. I purchased a new wire, and it's pulling a little over 5. Is the problem my wire?

Are you using a straight copper core wire ?

Typically spark plug wire is of resistance type, so that seems to be ok. Sounds more to me like it is just the connection at the coil.

Great, that's the answer. The coil wire is probably old enough I need to consider getting a new one.
