Filled my wood wagon last Sun. went to go grade the drive on Mon. and tractor would not start, I am getting hit and miss spark, changed plugs, I can see spark continously at the points and my test light says I have power at the coil, but I am not getting any power at the plug boots? I changed coil to NEW deere coil but am having the same problem, I have never had any issues with this tractor can someone give me a hand? Thanks for listening by the way. Rick

Try changing the condenser. Are you sure the plug wire is OK? What motor is in it? Many of the 317 have a non-original motor.

Change both points and Condenser, and I'd bet at least one of the plugs wires is bad, change them both. BTW are you sure your gas is ok, water / ice in line someplace?

New coil came with new plug wires, I will change points and condensor, it has the Kohler series 2 with the HP oil system and spin on filter
