I need a 3 point hitch on my 318. Talked to Ruegg and they have a cat 1 that is $10 more than cat 0. Is there any reason I wouldn't want to put on a cat 1 hitch? I have a couple cat 1 attachments (scoop and box blade) and there seems to be more cat 1 available.

Cat 1 would be handy if all you have is Cat 1 attachments. Cat 0 attachments can be adapted to a Cat 1 hitch easier than the other way around.
