I replaced mine with a auto-parts store pump. I believe it was branded Mr.Gasket. Facet is also another popular pump manufacturer. You'll want a pump that produces no more than 5 psi of fuel pressure, or it will blow right through the carb. I'm sure others will chime in with what worked for them. Mine is going strong (knocking on wood). Make sure if you add or replace any fuel line that you use good quality line. When I installed my electric pump I used fuel line right from mother Deere. well long story short, after many hours of pulling my hair out troubleshooting why my machine wouldn't stay running, I found that the fuel line I put in between the pump and the tank "selector" valve had collapsed internally and thats what was restricting my fuel flow.

Ok, thanks all! It appears my pump is o.k. I have gas now to the carb. A question now I have is the float adjustable? It appears bent down a bit which might not open the needle. should I just get a new float or can it be bent to work?

thanks,
Mark

The float is adjustable by bending the little tab
It is not hard to do

There is a maximum height and maximum drop spec:
SPECIFICATIONS
Item Measurement Specification
Carburetor Float Level Height from edge of bowl 0 to 1 mm (0.0 to 0.04 in.)
Carburetor Float Drop Depth below edge of bowl 5 mm (0.20 in.) Minimum

The entire procedure is outlined nicely in the CTM2 manual section 50

Consider that occasionally floats can and do go bad
so if a simple adjust doesn't work consider replacing the float
