May need the wiring gurus to chime in. The P218 and wiring harness are cooked, but I'd like to drop in a spare M18 engine I have and probably duplicate the setup I have in my Ariens GT18. Since it is magneto ignition, I'll start with the kohler switch 2509904s and work from there. TDC and seat switch to be eliminated, but I would like to retain a start safety where both pto's are off and they hydro is in neutral. Does anyone have a wiring schematic for this scenario?

Alexander, you can get an Ariens schematic directly from their website for free. I'd probably try to duplicate that. you would probably need an ariens pto switch too, but you may not

The Ariens are notorious for wiring ghosts, due to their TDC rigging. The points systems routed the harness through a transistor board and when these failed they would keep the coil energized and the hour meter running, while the key is off. The GT18 I have doesn't utilize an ignition switch for a magneto system, but it uses a standard ignition switch and relies on relays and all sorts of gadgetry to accomplish an interlock. I want a clean wiring system which is simplistic and relies on the common sense of the individual operating it. This will also help eliminate wear and tear on the PTO's disengaging whenever a bump occurs.
