318 with a b43 onan was running good till running out of gas. Now need to keep play with the chock to keep it running.
It has new gas pickups new gas lines new carb new fuel punp new points and condensor. Could it just be it was so hot?

Welcome to WFM. My question to you is, was all the 'new' stuff you listed added after it first ran out of gas in an attempt to fix the 'needing choke' issue? Tom

It had problems last year and that is when I replace all the new stuff. Since then I have blowed snow over the winter and used rototiller this spring. It has been running perfect until running out of gas today.

Sounds like you schmutzed your carb with bottom of the tank crud...carburetor fun dead ahead.

I concur with the crud, is there a filter in the gas line?

What everyone above said, you most likely just sucked up crud that’s gotten into the fuel bowl/jet or plugged up the filter
