You will have to use the new hose designed with the 2 stage filter.
It is wider on one end than the other.
I think it is no longer available.
At least it was last time I checked.

hmmmm.

I used the hose that was on my machine. Didn't think to see if it was "stock" to start with. I'm sure one designed for it might fit better. I can take a pic if that would help to determine what is required, especially if it's not available easily.

I actually have that backwards.
I just went and looked and the old hose is bigger around on one end.
The old single stage filter has a smaller diameter neck hence a smaller diameter hose.
The 2 stage filter has the same diameter on both ends as the filter housing inlet is bigger around.
On a second look I guess you could force the smaller diameter hose over the 2 stage filter inlet.
You would need lots of silicone and patience.

Scott and AJ,

AJ - I just went and looked at mine and you're right, it's VERY snug. Guess I had a lot of patience....

It just occurred to me that there might be another issue here. It might depend on which "single stage filter" we're talking about. There were two types depending on serial number of the tractor. One was a plastic filter with a female connection that went over a "pipe" that was inserted in the rubber hose. The other single stage filter (later serial numbers) was a metal canister similar to the two stage but with a single removable paper filter. The one I changed from was the early style plastic filter. I removed the pipe and forced the existing hose onto the new dual stage filter.

All three of the hoses have different PNs on JDparts. It appears that none are available from JD.

Scott and Jim,

The new hose is the same diameter on both sides.
You can always buy a radiator hose with a similar bend and cut it to fit.

My 332 was originally equipped with the plastic air filter. When I upgraded to the dual element air cleaner I used the original air hose. It does not fit perfectly but it does work.

I agree Steve. That's exactly what I did.

We now know Scott has the later style so I'm not sure what the answer is to that one since I didn't have the later style filter.

The radiator hose suggestion certainly sounds like a good solution if the original doesn't fit well enough.

Good luck Scott.
