Hey guys just got this 332 and the PO had to take the alt off to send for core. So I have a new alternator with its plug. The old one didn't have a plug on either wire. So the question is does it matter which of the 2 wires go where on the alt?? Both of the wires on the tractor are of the same size and green. I would assume it wouldn't matter cause I think it is just completing a circuit. what do ya think??

Brian,

By looking at the wiring diagram in the TM1591 you will see that the alternator is connected at X17 and is not polarity sensitive. The tractor side of X17 should have two wires that are yellow with white stripes, #590 and #595.
