Alright who can show me where the foam pads go on a 332? I know I need to buy some material and cut it but I don't have any idea what size it is supposed to be or where it goes.

How many pieces are there and where do they go?

Pictures would be great as well as letting me know where to buy the material and the best way to cut it and glue it.

Thanks

I'm surprised no one jumped in on this one. Can't anyone with a 322 or 332 email some pics or give me an idea of where to buy this material and how to make and install this insulation?

Alan,

Although I don't know sizes on the pieces I do know that there is one piece on the hood above the radiator M89367, one piece on the RH engine side cover (exhaust side) used on 322's (not sure about 332's and I have no number for this piece, one piece M90205 down below on the firewall in the area of the "black box" TDC Module, one M89363 over the drive under the fender pan, two M116234 & M89075 mounted on two formed pans ahead of the transmission, one M89179 above the transmission and one M90127 below the transmission. John Lang has the foam kit w/pattern for the one on the hood but I don't know if he has the others..........Hope this helps..........Gary

Alan,

I forgot to mention that most of the JD OEM foam pads are NLA and must be made by pattern from OEM pieces. I have a NOS for the hood somewhere around here but I'll have to do a search in my "Prago" barn to see if I still do..............Gary

Thanks Gary, That helps a lot but sort of daunting tasks of collecting the pattern or measurements.

I emailed John Lang to see what he had but if anyone has any measurements, photos of any of these or patterns. please post them here.

Thanks!

I would say the important foam is the one on the top of the frame under the fender pan as it is like an air filter for the radiator air that goes in through that gap and then the hood foam to prevent the hot air recirculating back around the hood through the radiator again (we had a Hitachi backhoe at the mine that had this issue). The rest are more of a nice to have I think.

I WOULD agree with Travis. Most that have gotten foam insulation from me for the 322/330/332 tractors just bought a rectangular piece 20" wide by about 24" and cut as they needed for where they needed the foam. I furnish some direction on the application and cutting and ship by USPS first class parcel with tracking to you.
