Next thing on my JD 100 restoration project list will be the mower deck. I thing its the original 34" deck and its in a restorable constitution. I used the deck last week and its working fine.

Planing this restoration task I ask my self if anyone converted this deck to mulching blades?

If yes - which blades have you mounted? What have you changed / converted inside the deck?

Mulching kits for modern JD´s include blades and some plastic blocks to keep the grass to mulch it in the deck. Haven't found those kind of kits for my 34"deck built in 1975...

I don't think JD made mulching kits or blades for 100s. Not sure how easy they would be to get in Germany but if you Google the JD blade parts number to Gator blades you might be able to find blades that will do a good job. Gator blades work very well. Roger

Jolanda I did some research and to be honest nothing is made for these decks but the factory type blade and those might be hard to find. Roger

Thank you very much Roger. Oregon Gator Blades looking great. I found some available here in Germany - and they are low-priced !

Need to check the correct size now.
