does anyone know the minimum hydraulic flow needed to operate a 400 power steering system properly? do you think 1.5 gpm would be enough?
i'm using a 400 spool and cylinder to put power steering on my massey 1010 and i need to know what size of a flow divider to get. the smallest divider prince makes is a 1.5. i hope that's enough because the tractor pump only puts out 3.5 total and i need the rest for the loader i'm gonna put on if the power steering works! thanks.

Brad, I can't tell you what the flow is but flow will only govern how quickly the wheel can be turned. One thing to watch though, the pressure on the 400 is about 700psi, don't know what your Massey puts out, but it may be much higher.
