420 front pto shaft removal

Hi all, Does anyone have info on removing the pto shaft that goes through the pivot on the front of 420? I need to replace the bearing. Thanks for any help.

The oil seal is leaking around the crank seal on the pto side. I got a service manual which has installation tips but no removal/replacement procedure. I don't have the replacement seal but the tips show a spring which I think would be damaged trying to remove the seal without removing the crank case cover first. Do I have to pull the crank case cover to replace?

The spring is part and parcel to the seal . It will have a new spring in the new "spring seal" as they call them .
