Just curious what I should run for gear oil on the 47 snow blower. I have seen varying recommendations.

this is the 47 two stage blower? Just 80-90 gear oil is all I use from JD.

My dealer also gives me 80w90 for both the front and rear gearboxes.

i use 80w90 synthetic in mine works great
one tip on filling it is to use a tube because it is hard to do it with the bottle with out spilling
