My belt tensioner on the 60" deck wasn't working properly, thought the arm was bent, ordered new stuff last fall, got the opportunity to use it Thurs, took it apart, found out it has 2 plastic bushings that hold it in place, replaced everything anyway, but if yours is acting up, might want to get the bushings first.

yeah.....plastic. Real good idea to replace them every couple of years time. They wear through and your tensioner arm moves off kilter and rubs a big hole in the cover.

This is designed by Deere to be a wear indicator. When you hear the grinding noise, you service the deck. I keep ahead of it. Call me strange.
