Hello all,
Need some help with front wheel bearings. My JD dealer keeps getting the wrong ones. I am looking for the part# for the inner wheel bearing with the grease seal.
I used Keeping It Green to look up the JD parts site and the inner bearing shows, no 7 bearing cone part# JD 8906. The seal is vulcanized to the bearing and not a lot of fun to pack with grease.
Russell, I use timken bearings. Let me know if you are still stuck and I will dig up the number. I have purchased the, on eBay two different times, once while rebuilding my 65 and again for my 66.
Russel, I replaced the front wheel bearings in my '67, due to a wheel departing from the machine during mowing. I took the old bearings to Napa, they matched them up with new ones and i was on my way.
