Another newbie question. Can someone tell me how the battery hold down attaches to the battery tray? I have the original green angled metal piece and the black cover. There doesn't appear to be a slot or attachment hole in the tray to hold the risers.

I would think it would be similar to my 110 which had slots in sides of pedestal and threaded j hooks and wing nuts that held angle in place. I've also seen them with springs.

Thanks John, mine didn't have a battery or hold down or threaded J hooks. Just a angled hold down in the battery tray. Never considered the side of the pedestal! I'm an auto guy and can't remember one that wasn't attached to the tray! The spring is for > 10000 machines. Mine is 5K serial, so will not worry about that!

Here's picture of my 110. Home made angle from some aluminum angle stock I had and hold down rods with wing nuts.

Put a piece of horse mat between battery and tank for cushion.
This is my 140. Sure this is stock.
