The mower drive belt - the one from the PTO to the mower deck - part # M43569 is no longer available. Anyone have a replacement part # or know the width and length so i could try to match it with something that would work?
Thanks Dan

That sucks. Got us again. Since we don't have a deck mounted, this may or may not be accurate info, Daniel. The belt that was with the 70 deck that was mounted and working when we got it is 3/8w x 57 1/2"lg. Angle unknown. This belt looks about right, but has no marking what so ever on it. Feels and constructed like a "V" type car fan belt. Remember those? LOL
I would rather think the proper width is 1/2 inch and the length slightly longer as in 58-59", just a guess though.
Sometimes the chart will still list the belt specs. for a while after the belt is NLA, but I had no luck finding it. The blade to blade belt, #M41642 is still available and the specs. are with the price at JDParts. It is 62.100lg x .500w x .31tk x 32 deg. I can't find it in the chart either, must be doing something wrong. Metric, maybe? I'm going to keep looking.
Standard fractional HP belts at the auto supply store might be 30 deg., but will probably work fine. Once you determine a good working size, I would recommend the "green" or "blue" belts that cost a little more, but do last longer in this application.
Good luck, Daniel. I'm gonna go through the same thing with the deck belt for an STX 46. Last time I looked it was $70. Likely higher by now. It will no doubt become NLA soon, too.

Thanks for the responses but now i am somewhat confused. The one that Tom has is 57" - 58" and the part # from Dave lists it as (length 50.800 in , width 1/2 in ). So roughly 51 in to 57 in. Is there that much of a range to the pulley? I do not have the deck mounted so it is hard to tell. And yes it does suck that the belt is no longer available. It would be nice if they would still list the specifications especially for a item such as a belt.

No, Daniel, that much difference in length can't work.
Sure glad Dave chimed in. His belt is mounted and working. That is what you need. Thanks, Dave!

I went back and looked at the stack of decks. Very next one in line is Joe's #38 deck for the '64 110. The belt hanging on the 34" deck must go with the #38. The length more closely matches that for a 110 #38, but I sure didn't remember a makeshift belt on the 110. My apologies for the mis-information. I should have known better!

No problem Tom. Got some work to do to the deck before i can put it on and also waiting on the correct size front tires. Still makes no sense that the specs are not available from mother Deere. Seen my next door neighbor today and he is going to see if he can find any info on the belt on Monday. He is the parts manager at the local JD dealership. If he comes through for me i will post what i find out.

where is this chart? I'm trying to find belt info for my 70's drive belt, the one that runs vertical along the right side. seems to go around 3-4 pulleys.

On the first page of JDParts you have options for part look up. One of those is "By Part Specifications". Choose that, then follow the menu selections provided. It's a good way to find belts, bearings, bushings, etc. that you have dimensions for and need a Deere part number.
If you already have a Deere part number for a belt and use the pricing/stock check feature, after the price comes up, scroll down a little, and basic dimensions for many items are included. If it's NLA, sometimes it is still listed in the chart mentioned, for a while, anyway.
