A few weeks ago I got a 1970-JD 70. I noticed that JD sells a round air filter for it and the VH70 that I have has a square/ rectangle filter... anyone know the model number and where I can buy one? In some of the pic for the 70s that people have on this sight they have the same filter that mine has. Thanks

sounds like you have a air filter for a diffrent brand unit. some where along the way the carb may have gotton changed and the air cleaner from the deere would not fit. just my guess as all 4 of my 70 had the same type air cleaner until I replaced the carbs wirh new styles and the origional would not fit. shaould be a thread still active

Thanks- The only marking I can see on the filter is "Kleen-Aire" Any idea who makes the filters for this? I googled Kleen-Aire and could not narrow it down to a manufacture. If I was to find a filter that "fit" would that work ? Or does it have to be very specific? Thanks

Kleen-Aire is a Tecumseh term not a tractor manufacturers term.. Roger
