Ok I’ll definitely check the rivets. My carb kit should be here Monday so hopefully i can start the tractor early next week and monitor the mounts while it’s running.If they are staying in, make sure none of the rivets are broken. Can wear out the half-moon in the frame in a hurry.
Do you know what the idle rpm of your 212 is set at where the tools stay on the engine?On both the 212 & 216 with old mounts anything I put on top of engine while idling would walk right off/vibrate off. With new mounts I can leave screwdriver, pliers, etc. on engine while idling and they vibrate a little but stay put. The 216 also shakes less after you turn they off.
