On the 1988 316 I purchased during October this fall, the starter would barely click or turn over or not at all even when jumping from POs big pickup. I replaced the ignition switch, cleaned all wiring connections, installed starting improvement kit and now it starts instantly with just a turn of the key. Thread on it is still here.
