Today I smoked the PTO to mower deck belt on my 300. I'm running a 48" deck. Anyone know the part number for this belt? And the length and width would be helpful in case I end up at Tractor Supply. Thanks!
Tip: Use only Deere belts for your model, Deere belts have different angles then the universal ones. Contact you local Deere dealer & they will help you ID the correct belt, in fact likely will even have one in stock.
Zeke, catalog number 1069 has the model 48 (46" deck). If you actually have the 48" replacement deck the catalog number is 2358.
I'm assuming you have the original model 48 deck. The belt you need should be a M45254 but check with the dealer when you buy it in case that is wrong.
I'll second Wayne's comment. Only buy JD belts, as Wayne said, they're spec to fit. Aftermarket belts won't fit as well, won't sit in the pulley grooves correctly, and will not give you the performance nor longevity a JD belt will.
