Get ready for your fall plow days. Two Brinly plows. Purchased by me in 2007 from a closed Bolens dealer. Both are unused by me and were represented as NOS by the dealer. While rusty, I don’t have any indication they were used.

4 ply Firestone Flotation 23 deg bar tires on Deere M121628 rims. Tires are filled with Rim Guard fluid and weigh 160 Lbs each. Tires and rims were purchased new in 2008 and have approximately 10 hrs of use. I’ve had them on both 300 series (photo below) and X700 series tractors.

Brinly PP-512. 12 Sleeve Hitch....not 10 inch. $275
Brinly PP-1200 3 Point plow. 12 inch $325
Firestone tires & rims. $300

Correct way to measure plow size is diagonally from notch on rear to smallest dimension on radius in the front. That is the amount of material that is "rolled" by the plow. That measurement should be about 12".

Gabby, I was told you measure straight out from the tip (toe) of the share to a straight edge at the back (heel) of the share. That is the entire width that is "cut" by the plow.

I did find the correct method for measuring after taking the photos, but wasn’t digging them out of the shed to take more photos. I pulled out the tape just to verify the Sleeve plow wasn’t a 10 inch as I couldn’t recall. Both are 12 inch plows. Thanks

Found this which was an interesting document that includes plow sizing.

I researched myself and found the online information confusing and conflicting. From what I did read Jake I admit error. It seems like measurement starts a the lower rear corner of the plow share and measure across to line established by the angle defined by the share front edge. Hope that makes sense. Again I could not find good diagram showing this.

If we are talking about the 1975-1983 model 400, no, I believe the rims on the 400 had a much larger hub and these are not the same rims.

As for the tires, they would work on the model 400 rims.
