I recently bought a 317 for pretty cheap and the deciding factor was that it had a brantly power steering kit on it. well the 317 isnt much to look at and will take a ton of work but my biggest questions lie with the power steering stuff.
the unit on the side of the tractor all looks ok but im thinking that plumbing isnt right. it looks like it goes from the pressure port on the rear end right to the unit and from there it goes to the input on the control valve. from what iv seen it looks like i'm missing a circuit that's teed into two spots with a check valve.
what does this extra circuit do?
next has anyone ever had one of these apart? it turns left really well but not right. idk if it needs cleaned or if there an o ring blown out or what but i dont wanna start taking things apart if im gonna wreck anything.
thanks for any help. if done a search and found pics and a few things that help but looking for some concrete answers to what i need.
