Wasted my time installing a new throttle cable on the Derelict 332 today. Still runs rough/poorly on 2 cylinders. Throwing in the towel...not going to spend any more time, effort or $$ on it.
I will give it away to someone who wants it...either as a parts machine, or as a challenge/aggravation.
Read the Derelict 332 threads on here to get an idea of what you may be in for and pix.
I'll haul it far as 225 miles from NE Tejas, just south of the Indian Nations (Paris) for $50, to cover my gas. Doesn't matter which direction but won't venture in to metro areas. Prefer to meet & gift at a major fuel station/pit stop. It runs enough to load in the bed of my truck. Comes with mower deck. I'll add some pix in a bit. PM me if you want it.
Here's a couple pix. Thats the deck in the background, appears solid...condition unknown. The fender pan is off in these pix...solid but seat is a rusty goner seat pan. Grill is some homemade mesh screen. Side panels solid/intact, but no mule drive. Front hydro couplers are rusty junk. Tires are fair but hold air. No battery included.

Exactly why I got rid of mine quickly before it broke down. I had in $1900 thank god it sold $2500. Sometimes it’s good to walk away even though it was free.

Tmac, that's a valuable piece of you can use it, I understand if you don't need it, and appreciate your willingness to get it to someone who needs a project, on the other hand, I'd be glad to guide you thru diagnosing it over the phone if that would help, just PM me, I have a lot of experience having rebuilt my first engine fifty four years ago, and still fix machines when my back let's me, I sold my repair business fifteen years ago but still get called out to help figure out odd problems.

I'm guessing based on youtube videos, that it may be something stuck in the injector pump. (Wild a__ guess from way north of the Indian Nations:ROFLMAO:)

There are a number of videos (they are usually silent, as I assume there would be a language barrier anyway). But those guys pull them apart and get them unstuck. Generally the background is an appalling mess, not the surgical center you would expect in injection work. They don't appear to have anything too special in the way of tools either.

Just a thought.:)

Here's one of the videos for reference: site doesn't like the link. I searched: yanmar injection pump 3tn66. About the 3rd video down, by tractors&marine MECHANIC.

And just to be sure this type of work will void your warranty... 🤡

A generous offer, thank you sir. Still going to move it down the road to another owner.

I watched a couple of those and if I had infinite shop space, time and resources I might reconsider. However, I don't...and already have another project to get going on...a rawhide 322, early vintage.
The 332 came to me in a package buy, the PO even delivered the stuff...derelict 216 (now refurbished and in the herd), derelict 332 and a 214 parts machine that is beyond resurrection due to weather exposure. Resurrection/repair of the 332 is beyond my resources, time, etc. so I'm going to pass it on to someone else (already spoken for in fact) in a week or so. If it didn't have any potential, I would be parting it out. I don't need it in my herd, well pleased with my 430, 322, 212 and 216. In fact, I am blessed in that regard...having more machines than I have uses for, in a practical sense anyway.
Thanks for your input though.

A lot of guys on the forum are extremely helpful. They will take their shirt off your back to help you. I really appreciate them helping me through out the years. But I’m not a diesel mechanic and most people in the tractor space don’t work on diesels in my area that’s a specialized field that cost more money than your standard gas powered equipment.

Jut a follow up to close out the chapter of TMAC‘s involvement with this tractor.

I picked it up at his house last week. Sure enough, it will run (barely) and has enough rpm to slowly move itself onto a new trailer for the ride to its new home. Smokes a lot — I’m assuming unburned fuel but I’m certainly not a diesel guru.
Took its clothing off after I got home and I’ll get busy cleaning and hopefully getting the issue sorted out and running better.

Yall wish me luck !! I think I’m going to need it The bones are good but there is something keeping it from running properly. I just need to find the culprit. I live in a tight neighborhood with some really good neighbors/ mechanics who are willing to help. I bet we can get it going.

Thanks TMAC. Nice to meet you !!

Max.
