Followup ?, does the factory black have a prime coat? I've never seen any indication of that and wondered why? Cost and speed of production maybe??

Ken JD didn't use primer and it worked for 2 reasons. They had new very clean metal and the parts/tractor were baked in an oven after painting. I have experimented with repainting clean straight parts with and without primer and there isn't a lot of difference though primer parts look better and maybe last longer. Roger
