Hi fellow John Deere people. I need help. I have a early 1975 300 and am trying to figure out if it originally had a mesh grill or if it would have had a vertical bar style grill. I know that the 200 series switched in 1978. My 1978 316k has a vertical bar grill. Just trying to make it correct. The grill was missing when I bought it. Thanks for the help.

My early 300 had the mesh style grill on it. Its been a while since I gave it away but I am thinking it was a 1975 or 1976 model

In your case the word must be the fancier "grille" as your 300 is extra nice!!

Thanks for the info Gary and Doug. I have a nice mesh grill (or grille as the fancy term) off of a 1976 212. I think I can make it work.
