Hi all.
So I've been slooooowly working on repowering my 100 with a 14.5 B&S. I'm also repowering a walk behind rototiller (with a diesel engine) and got a project 110 recently, so I'm pretty spread out on projects and get very little done pretty slowly
Anyway, one of the problems with putting the bigger engine in is the stock fuel tank doesn't fit under the hood. I have another tank that fits in the battery area well, but then I'd need to move the battery, which is an option.
So I either need to find a battery box and possibly hang the battery off the back, or find a flatter fuel tank to fit under the hood.
I was wondering if anyone knows of a flatter tank, maybe out of a different model Deere or other piece of equipment. It's hard finding any dimensions online. I've considered making one, maybe out of fiberglass, but that'd just delay things more.
I know I've seen batteries mounted on the back of some lawn tractors in nice little plastic battery boxes, does anyone know what models had those?
Thanks.
