Ervin anything can be put into anything. How good are you a cutting, welding, fabricating, modifying and on and on? The engine is to new so as of now doubt anyone has done it. You will have to decide on your mechanical skill level. It isn't even close to plug and play. Roger
Yeah that is what I thought, the price is why I was considering it, but all the extra work and materials I would probably end up costing me as much or more as the Briggs and Stratton motor would. Thanks for the information and guidance.
Not even close on price. The nay sayers can think what they want. I got my 670 for 599 add 5 bucks in steel for a bracket and a 70 dollar adapter for the driveshaft, I still need to change the muffler some how but thats it. 700$ versus $1700 for a repower kit, you people may have money to waste but mine is hard to come by. But hey $1700 bucks is cheap so you can say mine has a briggs in it.
I got a good running 16hp Kohler K series I'm putting in my 140 for around $500. Its been running for almost 40 years now and is still on the stock bore size.
Shipment from SEW arrived this AM. Not an easy swap. The SEW muffler exhaust flanges don't line up with the Predator exhaust ports. Surgery will be required after a lot of thinking and measuring.
A few years ago Andre Blanchet told with pictures how he adapted the Honda muffler to his 670 Honda that he repowered his 318 with. His method may help you with your adaptation.
